چکیده

This 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) is of a 69 year-old man with Parkinson’s disease. On initial inspection, the rhythm appears to be that of atrial flutter, with negatively directed flutter waves in the inferior leads (Fig. 1A, grey arrow), consistent with cavo-tricuspid isthmus dependent flutter. These waves present a cycle length of approximately 200 ms and are best visualized in leads I, II, aVR,

Global pseudo-atrial flutter ECG appearance secondary to unilateral parkinsonian tremor.

To cite: Nam MCY, Best L, Greaves K, et al. BMJ Case Rep Published online: [please include Day Month Year] doi:10.1136/bcr-2015214048 DESCRIPTION An 82-year-old man with previous bioprosthetic aortic valve replacement for aortic stenosis had a routine ECG (figure 1). This was thought to represent an atrial tachycardia with cycle length 280 ms and 3:1 atrioventricular response. A diagnosis of at...

Tremor-induced ECG artifact mimicking ventricular tachycardia.

Ventricular Tachycardia To the Editor: The ECG from the article by Srikureja et al1 that adorns the cover of the September 12, 2000, issue of Circulation is a striking example of a tremor-induced artifact mimicking a serious arrhythmia. On this occasion, the apparent arrhythmia was ventricular tachycardia and led to the patient’s admission to the coronary care unit, although, in my experience, ...

Dissimilar atrial rhythms. A patient with interatrial block.

A patient with type A Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and prolonged interatrial conduction intervals developed atrial flutter during the course of an electrophysiological study. The atrial flutter blocked along the left-to-right conduction pathways in a Wenckebach pattern. The dissimilar atrial rhythms of right atrial tachycardia and left atrial flutter evolved as the interatrial block increased...

Response of atrial flutter to overdrive atrial pacing and intravenous disopyramide phosphate, singly and in combination.

Ten patients who suffered spontaneous paroxysms of atrial flutter were investigated by electrophysiological techniques. Two had overt Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome; three Lown-Ganong-Levine syndrome; and one a concealed accessory atrioventricular connection. Atrial flutter was initiated, at study, by right atrial pacing and electrograms from the right atrium and coronary sinus were observed fo...

Atrial flutter with 1:1 conduction in undiagnosed Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

BACKGROUND Atrial flutter with 1:1 atrioventricular conduction via an accessory pathway is an uncommon presentation of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome not previously reported in the emergency medicine literature. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a form of ventricular preexcitation sometimes initially seen and diagnosed in the emergency department (ED), can present with varied tachydysrhythmias fo...
